Psychedelic Parenting: What it is and How to Do It
Psychedelic parenting is the idea that using psychedelic substances, such as LSD and psilocybin, with your children can help them develop into happier, healthier adults. It’s an idea that has been around for decades and remains popular to this day, but how well does it actually work? Read on to find out more about psychedelic parenting and whether or not you should be trying it with your own kids!
What Is Psychedelic Parenting?
Psychedelic parenting is a style of parenting that can be used as a last resort or as a form of treatment for children. Psychedelics are substances that cause hallucinations, which has been proven to have benefits for children who suffer from mental health disorders. The goal of psychedelic parenting is for the child to feel better without the use of any other drugs besides psychedelics. The psychiatrist and founder of this is, Dr. Philip Wolfson, has made it his life’s work studying how psychedelics affect the brain.
Why Would I Want To Be A Psychedelic Parent?
There are many reasons why people might want to be a psychedelic parent. The most common reason that people who try psychedelics for the first time cite is curiosity. They’re curious about what it would be like, or they have some question about the drug that they’d like answered, or they know someone who has had a positive experience with them and wants to know more.
Research On Psychadelics Can Help Me Get Ready
The use of psychedelics, such as LSD, in parenting practices can help parents get rid of the negative stigma that surrounds these drugs. Psychedelics have been proven to be effective in treating Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), addiction, and depression.
Getting Set Up
If you’re thinking about psychedelic parenting, the first thing you’ll need to do is figure out what your goals are. Are you looking for a way to improve your communication with your kids? A way to get them interested in subjects they might not be? A way that will help them make sense of their emotions? Once you know what you want, set up a plan.
6 Ways To Use DMT When Raising Children
DMT (N,N-Dimethyltryptamine) is a naturally occurring psychedelic compound that can be found in many species of plants. People use DMT for its psychoactive effects, which include euphoria and hallucinations. Psychedelic parenting encompasses the use of DMT during pregnancy, childbirth, or breastfeeding. Many mothers will smoke DMT before giving birth so they are able to communicate with their baby on an otherworldly level. Others may use DMT before birth as an escape from what might feel like torturous pain from contractions. Mothers who want an intense experience may also drink ayahuasca tea while pregnant, typically in their first trimester, as it haVE been shown to have no adverse effect on fetal development.
9 Things I Do Before I Take Any Hallucinogen
I’m an advocate for psychedelic parenting, which means I take psychedelics with my children. Here are the nine things I do before I take any hallucinogen.
1) Make sure that my children know what’s going on, so they feel safe and in control of their experience.
2) Prepare myself by taking a pre-trip ritual (e.g., meditation, yoga, etc.).
3) Set up a calming environment with dim light and low noise.
4) Create a buddy system with other adults who will also be having this experience with me and our children.
5) Give them permission to enjoy themselves, explore their surroundings, play games, eat good food–whatever brings them joy during this time.
6) Put away anything sharp or breakable or anything I don’t want them to have access to while they’re under the influence.
7) Get out lots of crayons and paper.
8) Spend some quality time alone with my kids before I take the drug. So we can talk about how we might feel during this experience together.
9) Talk about aftercare together and make sure everyone knows what to expect afterwards.
Preparing For An Entheogenic Experience
It’s important that you’re as prepared for the experience as possible.
-You should have a plan in place.
know where you’ll be going.
-who will be with you, what you’ll do beforehand.
-how long the experience will last and what you’ll do afterwards.
-Keep an open mind and follow your intuition.
– don’t try to figure everything out beforehand because there’s no way of knowing what may happen on the other side.
Things To Remember When Under The Influence Of A Hallucinogen
A few things to remember when you’re under the influence of a hallucinogen:
– Always take a responsible, experienced adult with you into the experience.
– Take breaks from your trip if you start feeling overwhelmed.
– Remember that you are in control of your own mind, thoughts, feelings and actions.
– Eat healthy food before and after your trip.
– Drink plenty of water before, during, and after your trip
